Quick question I installed the mods in the order that was listed above. However I dont have any cars under the Equal physics. I do have cars under League Historical and Unrestricted. Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong?

Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong? To me this sounds as if the chosen install path was incorrect. That means, the files did not end up in the appropriate folders.

With the limited time I ran around the Glenn last night, I think Steve's Dijon setup is fine so far. Other than the chicane that throws you into the kerbing that you really have to slow down to get off of without getting stuck or wrecking, this should be pretty fun! Gotta watch out for the grass too, it'll suck you in. Someone mentioned for the last race he wasn't sure about the pit lane speed. 199mph is the speed limit, which is pretty much unlimited since these cars don't go that fast.

Quick question. what does the Unique Vehicle Check do? Also do we have to set the setting before the race or will the server set them for us? Pit road is going to be a dangerous place! LOL should make it more fun

Unique Vehicle Check is a server side setting to ensure two people don't drive the same car. Good for historic races like this. Nothing you need to do at your end of things.

100% I'll take it down to 85%. I'm not really complaining, just venting that I can't keep up yet...lol. You can keep it where you want. Just kind of sucked that one AI charged up behind me and I couldn't shake him for the life of me, and we got together in a corner...and then I couldn't keep up. I'm sure I'll run into the same thing during practice races with live drivers. I just need to learn how to drive these cars one of these days. Without much more than 25 laps run my best so far was around 1:42, but averaging in the 1:44-1:46 range with no changes to the fixed setup. AI was in the 1:36-1:39s. There is more speed and quicker times to be had by me, I just need to find out where. I need to figure out the chicane a bit better. I'm not wrecking in it anymore, but still a bit cautious because bumping it throws off my balance and gets me all sideways and up against the wall. Also, just about the whole back complex after the big sweeping carousel gives me fits (where NASCAR doesn't run). Either I go in too hot and run in the grass that's like glue...you can't get all wheels back on track very easily, or I'm way too slow to stay out of the grass. I just need more practice.

I'll do some Saturday practice racing, count me in. Haven't found start time, suspect 9am PST. Not real jazzed with that 2 hr race length Sunday, 1 hr seems plenty.

Good news - I solved the graphics issue which caused me to miss the practice race today. So all should be set for tomorrow.

The problem was, that some objects were missing on the tracks. E.g. at Watkins Glen the grandstands, trees and the main building at the pits. I tried Dijon, objects were missing there as well, e.g. the pylons, but the cables attached to them still hung in the air.
My game settings were unchanged, tried an older viodeo card driver - no help.
The solution was, that I recently changed AA-settings in my video card, which apparently caused that. Went back to the best setting, and the issue was solved.

Started in a decent qualifying position, by my own standards. I was plagued by many off track incidents which bent my suspension. The final one came about halfway through the race. That was a bend too far. I pretty much couldn't turn left at that point. If I could, it was around 20 mph. I didn't need to a be a slow chicane on track, so I retired.
Tough luck to Darren disconnecting early. Congrats to the eventual winner.

Well that was awesome while it lasted lol Insanely fun 30 mins dicing with Puro, Pumbaa and Birdski. The lead was changing every couple of laps. Sadly i disco'd Everytime this happens my internet is fine but i just lose access to everything SimHQ (servers/teamspeak/website). It's like i just get booted from SimHQ land lol Stays like this for about an hour and then lets me back in. Very strange. Anyhow I had a blast nontheless. Great racing guys, awesome Qualli lap Puro and grats to the eventual podium.

Tough luck to DB for the disco and Bird for running dry... I had the pace to match both of you, but I couldn't keep it up...
I had a great qualy lap after putting a banker in and then trying to nail the chicane then worry about the rest of the track... Didn't nail it until the very last attmept... Then made a small mistake on the second last bend and just missed pole by a couple of hundredths...
I had a good start but didn't want to be the pace setter so I let Puro through and took up the chase, I kept making small errors here or there, but they weren't enough to cost me time, until the chicane started catching me lap after lap and DB and Bird got passed... It was a great 5 way battle for a period with Caana in the mix as well... Then after another mistake from me Caana was through, but then within the the same lap the team mates both had offs and I was back to 3rd and closing on the leading pair and even got passed both of them into the corner after the long straight, only to let DB back through before the end of the lap...
I just couldn't keep the consistency up to close in and stay close, I ran wide at T9 and made the left corners yellow, and then just as I started to get better DB dropped, and a few laps later I was scrapping against the guard rail on the outside of the chicane as Bird was just nailing it through there I was trying what I could to lose as little time through there as possible... I think I hugged that rail 5 times throughout the rest of the race, with one of those times making the right corners go yellow... Luckily my car could still steer straight, so I pushed on... Caana had caught back up to me and we had a great little scrap which included a move by me on the outside of the last corner...
After that Bird just increased his gap to the point that I was just paying attention to Caana making sure 2nd was safe and I wasn't in the wall... Bird lost some time and I had a glimer of hope for 4 laps as I was genuinly faster then him, then I lost my consistency again and went back to focussing on Caana who was no more then 3 seconds behind until the last 10 laps or so when I think he had a problem as the gap grew... The cruely with 2 laps to go Bird ran out of fuel gifting me the win...
It was great fun and felt good to be competitive after last weekends race...
Congrats to Caana and Puro for making the podium
Thanks to all the competitors and Doug for making it happen...

Congrats to Pumbaa for being in the right place at the right time. Heartbreak for Birdski to come up short in fuel with 2 to go. Heartbreak to others who dropped out midway due to crashes and/or damage. Heartbreak to Darren. I don't know what to say bud but sorry -- dropping off both servers simultaneously. Any ideas network people how that can happen to one driver on two servers in the same domain? Dave and Christian finished so at least some good. First gratz to Pumbaa, good job man. 2nd this mod rocks This very long race brought me to my limits. The last 15 laps were a pain and i was very close to get out of the race, because of my lack of concentration. Good thing, that we drive not with full damage Overall it was a lot of fun, specifically the fight with Pumbaa. But he was a little bit faster, so I had to let him go. At the end of the race i only think...dont make a mistake you are on position 3 .. at the podium...I wasted no thought previously at this possibility. Really a pity that Birdsky have to stop his fantastic race due a lack of fuel. Thanks to Doug, SimHQ and all drivers for this race.

Congratulations to Pumbaa and Caana for finishing first and second and to all others who participated in it. Special thanks go to Doug for hosting the show. This was simultaneously one of my best rides and one of my poorest showing, but I had fun nonetheless ++ Pole! Now that felt unusual and was unexpeted, as the first time I prepared for this race was yesterday with just a few laps. Then only a few laps today.++ very competitive pace in race, even with a damaged car++ lots of fun fighting with Darren, Pumbaa, Henny and David!+ start was ok, but Pumbaa would have been first I think- unfortunately the race was marred by too many driving errors. 2 spins in front of the start-finish line, several accidents in the chicane. -- staying with the leader and racing with him after being lapped is fine, but ramming him from track is just idiotic.Sorry again, Birdski. I know it's cruel that you ran out of fuel, but I was admittedly a bit relieved that it wasn't the suspension damage caused by me when I rammed you from the track in the first corner. Didn't expect to make it to the podium today, after the first 10 laps. Darren and Birdski both had tough luck today.

Heartbreak to Darren. I don't know what to say bud but sorry -- dropping off both servers simultaneously. Any ideas network people how that can happen to one driver on two servers in the same domain? Yes, but only a very rough one so far. Actually it is more a suspicion. I need to know a bit more about the architecture, I'll send a PM to you. EDIT: PM sent to you and Darren

My apologies to Birdski again. My calculations last night said that 150 liters was going to be enough for 59 laps. So I thought the 158 default had a sufficient margin. And for me that was true, even accounting for the two fewer laps I ran there was still enough for 2 more laps plus some margin. It must simply have been the faster pace ate the fuel at a higher rate.
I did finish and no disco. Hurrah! I was very discouraged last night after running some practice, trying to find a decent pace that would get me to the end. I was wrecking every few laps by myself, without pushing all that hard. I went to bed thinking that there was almost no chance I could get to the end of the race without wrecking, without even considering the specter of the weird disco problem I have seen lately.
This morning I decided to rethink my approach and see if I could back off in the corners that were problems (surprisingly not the chicane). I adopted braking points quite a bit sooner than I had been using. It worked, in the sense that I could run a lot of laps without hitting the barriers but at the cost of some speed.
I had an early contact with Stewart that appeared to initially to mess up both of our days. Sorry, Stewart i was just too tentative in the early laps and was trying to do too many safe things. We both survivied however, and I was able to continue on. I had some suspension damage which hurt a bit I think, although after I pitted for tires and repair ir was much better. I was having a lot of fun trying to catch you, Stewart, with my fresher tires as the laps ran down. I don't think there were going to be enough laps for me to do so but it was fun trying so I'm sorry you had the off.
Congrats to Pumbaa and all of the fast guys.
I will say I am not sorry to see this mod in my rear view mirror. I have struggled mightily with it and I must admit I lost.
Thanks Doug for all you do.

Fun race guys. I knew it was going to be a long one so I didn't push real hard for the first few laps. Just wanted to get the field stabilized. It was quite interesting up front with 5 of of in pretty close proximity through 15 or so. I used the same Jedi mind tricks DB uses on me in that if you follow someone close enough for awhile, their chances of making a mistake increase or you can force the issue at some point and make them decide whether to crash or yield. It never came to the latter fortunately. Was quite disappointed to see DB disco on 15 as I was quite looking forward to a long drawn out battle. Well that left Pumbaa trailing me for the remainder of the race and I slowly increased the gap as best I could, I think it was 15 seconds or more by the time I came around and met Purolator on 45 or so. Don't recall exactly if he yielded or not but I got around him in pretty short order and then watched him remain on my tail. Was thinking it was nice to see Purolator still connected, on pace and racing with me even if just for his lap back. He was quite fast and right on me for a few laps and then came in a little hot following me into 1 and off I went sliding sideways across the grass towards the wall. I did bang it broadside but the car was still rolling and had all it's tires so I just proceeded to get back the track and see what the damage was. Luckily it wasn't too bad, she drove a bit crooked and a bit unstable but it was still more or less on pace and I still had 10 seconds on Pumbaa. That's racing. Those last 5 or 10 laps I remember saying to myself, "All you have to do now is not screw it up and you'll have it". Well I did manage to screw it up when she ran dry on me with 1.5 to go. Not sure how my calculations were off as I did add a few clicks of extra fuel at the start but it just wasn't enough. Really nobody to blame but myself for not doing the math. Did anyone make it through on the default fuel load? Still had a great time. The 79's have never been good to me in the past but I enjoyed the last two races a great deal. Good race lads.

Those last 5 or 10 laps I remember saying to myself, "All you have to do now is not screw it up and you'll have it". When you lapped me I made room, but I found out I was on pace and also faster if I can focus on someone in front of me. Hence my fastest laps were performed when I pursued you, and that albeit my car was already a bit dented. But it was ok, these somewhat relaxed damage settings are perfect for fun racing. Unfortunately I simply braked too late/weak in turn one and was very relieved you could continue still fast enough. That's racing, right - and a great deal of on my part. Did anyone make it through on the default fuel load? I had her filled up to the gills with 180 litres, which was indicated as good enough for 60 laps. I already was a bit sceptical about that and drove the inaugural lap in 4th and 5th gear in order to reduce fuel consumption. In the end I had fuel for maybe 3 laps left, and it was lap 58 then. I certainly didn't drive in economy mode during this race. The 79's have never been good to me in the past but I enjoyed the last two races a great deal. Same here. I really enjoyed both races and these races managed to bring back the fun of online racing for me. Not to mention, no discos both times, which is something I'm VERY relieved about. If rF2 takes some longer time and we get back to the 79ers - which I strongly hope for - I'll once more go for the buzzbomb.

I would still love to see a F1 1971 race at Monza. I second that, but propose as relaxed settings as with the 79ers for a start. Otherwise it may be mayhem.

Monza71 would be good. I'll 4th that proposal... I'd also would love to do a race with you guys around the Bike track at Daytona in Formula BMWs would be my pick... To me that mod feels like the skodas with no roof, a lot of fun... I'd suggest F5000s as well because they drive like the other 70s F1 mods, but sound like a cross between V8 supercars and NASCARs...
