I had her filled up to the gills with 180 litres, which was indicated as good enough for 60 laps. I already was a bit sceptical about that and drove the inaugural lap in 4th and 5th gear in order to reduce fuel consumption. In the end I had fuel for maybe 3 laps left, and it was lap 58 then. I certainly didn't drive in economy mode during this race.

I went to 175 and do what I always do on formation laps wink... I had a lap and a half left in the tank.. But while driving behind Bird I noticed I was in a higher gear through a few of the 2nd/3rd gear corners then Bird was, which would of made all the difference as I had a lap and half in the tank when I pulled into the pits at races end...

Same here. I really enjoyed both races and these races managed to bring back the fun of online racing for me. Not to mention, no discos both times, which is something I'm VERY relieved about. If rF2 takes some longer time and we get back to the 79ers - which I strongly hope for - I'll once more go for the buzzbomb. smile

With or without rf2 I'm eager as to give these puppies another run... My first online experience with these cars was these 2 races, and they both were a blast...

I would still love to see a F1 1971 race at Monza.

I second that, but propose as relaxed settings as with the 79ers for a start. Otherwise it may be mayhem.

I'll 4th that proposal...

I'd also would love to do a race with you guys around the Bike track at Daytona in Formula BMWs would be my pick... To me that mod feels like the skodas with no roof, a lot of fun...

I'd suggest F5000s as well because they drive like the other 70s F1 mods, but sound like a cross between V8 supercars and NASCARs...
