If you had one or all of these flight sims and you only had time to devote to a single one, what one would you focus on, and why... Rise Of Flight IL2 1946 Combat Flight Simulator (pick one) Flaming Cliffs Janes F/A 18 Strike Fighters Project 1 Strike Fighters Project 2 with WOE and WOV DCS Black Shark DCS A10C Warthog FSX BMS 4.32

DCS A-10C. Its the current jet I work on. So it is real easy to get good visuals plus believe it or not I now understand what pilots are talking about when they have weapons issues. Also IMO its the best of the best right now.

DCS:A-10C. The level of detail and realism is amazing, I love complex sims and the devs continue to make it even better.
For me it's the best combat flight sim since the original IL2.
Runner-ups:
FSX, because with all the addons it's a flightsimmer's dream.
Rise of Flight, because the feeling of actual flight is probably the best I've ever encountered in a sim.

Well, I've never played any of them so I'll have to go with the one that models my favorite aircraft - DCS A10C.

Focus for me would be on IL2: 1946
The period is interesting, the 'kill' in a dogfight is a result of the aircraft, your skill and your opponent's. The mods and the online experience with a wingman are a big plus. The engine is old, the cockpits could have been more detailed (3D models) and the skin textures seen from the cockpit could (should) have been a higher resolution than those you couldn't see from the cockpit, but the fun in flying makes up for the blemishes.

DCS: Black Shark. I love helicopters, and it's the current reigning champ. Of course, if someone did a Sea King, Sea Knight, or Sea Sprite study sim, I'd drop it like a hot potato. But until then... Cheers! Rick...

it would be hard for me to decide between Black Shark and F4 BMS... probably F4 though - there's just more stuff to do

I spent the whole morning launching, doing the necessary burns, and establishing correct orbit parameters. There's nothing but technical stuff. And you don't get to blow up a single thing, LOL! Cheers! Rick...

Download my Midway QMB files and you can have some fun generating missions with different aircraft using the Midway map. It has an auto-installer so all you need to do is make sure that it is pointed to your IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 folder and you are good to go. If you can patch the sim my installer works exactly the same way. Midway Island QMB: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=4150I also left you the option to direct the files to a temporary folder and use the enclosed readme to install the files manually. DCS A-10C It's the only one I have in the list. And I have the Warthog to go with it. The two together is what did it for me. Wrecking Crew PS - Anything I fly has to be a jet. No propeller head, here.

Rise of Flight because the huge variety of aircraft will keep it interesting for a long time and because the gaming world in ROF is so immersive.

If I had time to learn...really learn...a flight sim, it would have to be DCS A10.
1-it's an A-10 2-it's a modern game and seems to look great, so I wouldn't feel like I'm wasting my time on something outdated and compromising full enjoyment. 3-it's an A-10
If there was an F-15E sim I'd consider that, but the A-10 is simply one of my most favorite planes.

A-10 and BMS. Hard to choose one, because sometimes you need to mix it up a little.

Well, I've definitely put more time into ROF than any of the others lately, but if I had to just go with one I'd go with SF2 because of the variety of stuff to do and eras and terrain. ROF is good but it's still always just WWI Western Front.

I'm just about there due to time constraints....and RoF is the one that gets loaded.

Already spent many years in IL2 so i would have to go with RoF on that list.Still have not got a WW1 flight under my belt yet.

OFF via CSF3 (a useless piece of s..t, this one): Love to take off in the haze and fly over the trenches while visual navigating with my different maps (or the maps of the samrtphone integrated GPS) ...if only the terrain was 100% realistic...it is not but , not bad though.
