Glad you all like, I wouldn't give my simpeds up for anything,in ordering the obutto I knew I would have to do some modding, but with good access to a fab shop and it being made of metal tubing, hey no prob....;)

The obutto is fantastic..

Obutto sitting 30 miles away at FedEx right now. Should be on my door step sometime tomorrow. It's a shame I still have to wait another month for my triple monitor kit to get here. Grrrr....

If you're home to sign for it, other wise you will see if Friday. Unless you signed for it today and it will be delivered tomorrow. That's the only thing I hate about FedEx ground, they won't attempt a second delivery. I called pleading for them to swing back by, heck the driver was still nearby, I only missed him by 7 minutes. Anyone who has been to Vegas, knows you can't get anywhere in 7 minutes, unless you're on two wheels. WinkNGrin

All is well, FedEx guy showed up about 5:30 last night. It's up and assembled. Now just impaciently waiting for the rest of it to arrive to I can complete everything. Sigh....

I do in the mean time have plans to use some PVC tubing to build a mod using using the steering wheel tubing to creat a hard mount for my MFD's. I have never like them not being mounted to something. That and finding an area to mount a USB hub to get this cable monstrocity under control.

Cable management is a must in my house, I've a cat who loves the taste of a fresh chewed cable.... Every cable has the protective conduit wrap, otherwise I wouldn't have nice controllers. Now I just have to wait for the rest to ship, but I made do with the basics.

And I always thought cats learn not to bite cables when they chew on their first power cable plugged into a wall outlet... The rat I had definitely leaned a lesson from doing that (and yes, he survived and never chewed a cable again).

Eventful day....

Now if only I could get my stick mount and triple monitor bracket in here I would be in heaven.

A little PVC, wood, and a few bolts and screws made a nice addition to the flight sim side of it all.

He wrote back "wow, it looked great!" but didn't say anything further.

Im seriously thinking about purchasing one. If I could figure out how to get my 42in Tv to it I would in a heartbeat.

Ahh CLOD never in the history of Simming has so much been promised and so little given.

The Obutto and accessories are on sale through the weekend on MPPC . I regret buying it so soon but oh well, I'm loving it right.

I'm having some issues with my new Obutto. I put it together last night and a few things are muddying my enthusiasm for this product.

1. I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs, and the seat seems too small on my hips. I can't sit with my butt all the way back without some decent discomfort and even scooting forward doesn't really help much. I'm not a big guy and alot of other people who sound much bigger keep talking about how comfortable this chair is. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not enthused about spending this amount of money to have to replace the chair.

2. The fit of the support bar and the keyboard/mouse tray is also not very tight. The inside of the tray bar is rough and only a couple of slides back and forth are really dinging up the paint on the support bar. It seems any amount of moving the supports is going to eat through the paint.

I'd appreciate any help that others have. Was I expecting too much?

Thanks

I coated all moving parts with a lite film of petrolium jelly/grease. Keeps things quiet too.
