OK...

1. I am just to damn busy with other games right now, mainly BF3 and MW3 for the reviews, FM4 which I've been neglecting, and back into SB Pro PE and Blackshark 2... not to mention iRacing which takes up 4 hours a week, lol.

2. Can't decide on PC vs 360... PC looks nicer and mods will come later but PC is rarely supported after-wards, while the 360 is easier to start and get into, less problems, and usually an abundance of DLC.

3. What I did with Fallout, Dragon Age and Mass Effect, is i waited for 6 months to a year... and bought the games as games on demand with all the DLC released for a total of like 30 to 40 bucks.

So my question, my request for advice... what do you think i should do about Skyrim... not really much into the type of game, but i do love moving around and battling and exploring, IE: I like to play more like RDR then a do this and come back...

recommendations... I should wait for a few SimHQ opinions and reviews.

And I guess i need to add this here since some of you can't control yourselves, if you don't like the type of game or this game... you don't even need to hit reply. wink

I figure I'll get Skyrim once I finally get around to finishing Oblivion.

One thing that always bugged me about TES games (and I may be in the minority) is that the difficulty of the monsters are scaled to your level, so leveling up doesn't really "gain" you anything in a head to head matchup. I prefer the way that MMOs do it, which is have a level range per region, and as you get progressively higher in level, the lower level monsters tend not to be as aggressive until at some point they don't engage you at all. XP goes down appropriately as well, so as to not encourage leveling up by spamming mobs.

@HomeFries

Leveling is changed for Skyrim. Instead of creatures leveling with you, their stats are proportional to yours up to a certain level only. So if a creature leveling range is between 20 and 50, and you are a lowly 5 or 10, then in your first encounters, the creature will be a level 20 (RUUUN!!). Eventually when you level above 50, the creature no longer levels with you(Crush creature...wipe blood off blade...laugh maniacally at your prowess).

If you are going to get a console version keep in mind that Oblivion ran far, far better on the PS3 than it did on the 360. I know you have both machines and there's no multiplayer to worry about.

Scratch what I said. While it is true that Oblivion was better on PS3 it was done by another developer. Fallout 3, which was a complete mess on the PS3 was done by Bethesda alongside the 360 version.

I think I'm going to cancel my console version and just get the PC version.

PC version Magnum. Higher res, graphics options, mods ability and if you're wanting to wait anyways, perhaps wait until they come out with a GOTY edition pc version that'll come with extra content and patched up.
