Hi,

Just joined the Forum so Hello to you all,

I have just received my copy of F4AF though the post today, its something i have thought about doing for some time, i have used the F16 in FS2004 for many years and enjoyed the aircraft, this by the look of it will certainly be interesting to say the least!

One thing i must say has really been a help, although back in 2005, is the Review of F4AF by Chris "BeachAV8R" Fishmuth and Tom "20mm" Hayden one of the best Reviews of a sim i have seen,

Well its heads down and a lot of reading during the dark nites and winter months ahead and having the help from you guys [and gals] on this site,

Cheers,

Roger.

Hi,

Welcome To the Forums I hope you enjoy your Stay.. I would like to point out the a Newer version of F4 was released some time ago it is Called BMS 4.32. It is Free but you will need an ORIGINAL COpy of Falcon 4.0 Allied Force will NOT work with BMS 4.32..

I would HIGHLY Suggest BMS 4.32 too you if you are just starting out as it more enhanced then F4:AF..
Now wither sim is Fine it is just that you are probally gonna find more people to Fly BMS with then AF. Most Squads have already migrated over to BMS..

So If you havea rather Beefy system and are gonna Fly Online in time I would suggest seeking out a Copy of F4 then DL the BMS Patch..

This Sim is Hardcore and Well worth the Time to invest in Learning to play. It is a little frustrating at times but Well worth it IMHO.

yeah i know! BMS is probably driving the price up hehe! I am enjoying F4AF as well. I don't fly online yet and the campaign mode of AF is supposed to be far superior to anything else out there.

Hello Lafeeverted,

Well i have been flying Airliners [Virtual] for the last ten yrs so its going to be interesting flying the F16 as you can imagine, i like flying the Lago and Kirk Olssen's models in FS2004 as i also said on F16 net's forum but they are nothing like this F4AF, i have started the Training and will work my way though that before i even think of any combat flying!! lol.

All the best,

Roger.

flying this thing is the easy part! wait until you get into fighting it. I only get to play a couple hours a week so I have a long way to go but i am in my first campaign and although i have to refly the missions a number of times to survive, it is a lot of fun. Go through the training missions and watch some of these videos. It is easier I think to see alot of it in action before and after you ro the missdions as it pukls it all together.

I've been going crazy ever since this version of BMS came out. I can't find my F4.0 disc anywhere! I'm checking with all my friends and looking in all the usual and unusual places but still haven't found it. I may have to buy.

You really need to check some BMS youtubes. It's light years ahead of AF. Apart from the Falcon heritage it's not the same game as AF. Fully functional and stunning 3d cockpit would be the main drawcard
