I have a TM Warthog and learned from the beta not to touch TARGET. I know the WH is plug-and-play with DCS A10 (just re-map trim) and so on and so forth...

However, I use the snap views a lot, especially when doing a guns run attack. I have re-mapped my Snap View key to just Num0 rather than RCtrl+Num0. To get to the zoomed-in HUD view, I have to press Num0 (activate snap views) then Num5 (HUD view preset).

I want to insert a script/command/whatever-the-term-is so that a flick of the pinky paddle switch will send a Num0, Num5 command, thus being able to stay hands-on-throttle-and-stick the whole time.

Is this possible to do in Target or in-game?

Thanks!

EDIT: Apologies for posting here, but it is for DCS A10 and thought I'll get a faster response by posting in here.

In game, not that I can see.

In target, absolutely, but you will have to spend a little time learning Target so that you can turn the views on and off the way you want. It is not that bad to learn but the manual is not the best.

My problem with the Target profile is if I use one, I will have to re-map all my controls onto that profile, not just the one I want.

it is a shame target rolls all thrustmaster controllers up into a single virtual controller. It would be nice to keep them separate.

if it helps I think the default DX values stick if you don't modify them in target's scripting editor, but would be mapped to one controller instead of multiple.

Yes this is possible, without using TARGET. I have it set up, along with some other snap views for CDU/Radios etc.

You need to set the paddle as a modifier in the DCS settings. Once you have done this, configure the Num 0 "Enter Snapviews" control to Paddle (Shift) + Whatever (I use Trim Up. Then set Paddle + Trim Down (or whatever) to Num 5.

So, Paddle + Trim Up enters Snapview mode, which will be a standard view of the cockpit but frozen. Then Paddle + Trim Down will take you to the HUD. From any Snap View, pressing Paddle + Trim Up a second time will take you back to the normal cockpit.

If you just want one Snap View (The HUD) there's no reason you couldn't bind Paddle + Trim Up to Num 0 + 5, which theoretically should result in you going straight to the HUD view. Not certain as I have more than 1 Snap View set up, therefore Num 0 First to take me into Snap View mode makes sense.

If you need more help on this let me know and I'll explain the actual process in a bit more detail when I can, but it's bed for now!

Thanks, Ragtop. I think I know what you're saying, but I was hoping to just map it to one button, which I can throw at will.

I'll see what works for me then.
