Hi all

Just wondering why none of the Fly Now missions are "redded out", in that I am unable to fly any of them. I get a message stating something like "aircaft not available in this account". Does that mean I have to buy the aircraft that are listed in the the mission?

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, to fly the mission you need to have purchased the aircraft that is the flyable subject in that mission. All aircraft are in the game as A.I. When you purchase the plane it become flyable.

If you are using just the Free2Play version you can currently fly missions with the SPAD 13 and Albatros D.Va.

I don't want to sound ungrateful for a fantastic game, but what is the reason behind this decision to make the planes unavailable in the retail release? If I wanted to try all the Fly Now missions, having to buy the required aircraft could get costly.

thanks

Well CC I chalk it up to keeping this great sim progressing along, and haven't regretted the purchases at all.
Compared to FSX I find this a steal, I must have about $600 into that one.

Cheers

What "retail" release did you purchase exactly? I am confused by your statements.

Think of it as purchasing addons - the game is set up with all missions/planes as AI for compatibility, etc. So if you buy a plane, it doesn't have to be downloaded separately, it just unlocks, and away you fly.

If you're buying a number together, they have packages available, with a substantial discount.

Or just buy one or two - very cheap compared to FSX, and you can explode stuff! I'm sure there's people who haven't flown anything else since the Gotha came out...

I've had this handle for quite a few years, so many that Fawlty Tower's wasn't that old a show when I first started using it.

Enjoy
