So I bought Dirt 3 last night since it's 50% off on Steam this weekend and I really like it so far. The graphics look even better compared ot Dirt 2 and there's a huge variety of cars and tracks and I even think the physics modelling is a bit more realistic. Who else here is playing this?

I've had this a while. It's a very nice game but i thought Dirt 2 was more fun to play and it's still the one i go back to when i want to let off a bit of steam. D3's physics are a little more realistic but that's part of the problem. It's realistic enough to remove the pure fun factor but not enough to be sim-like. For me it's in that grey middle ground and i don't find myself playing as much as i expected. I still load it up to do the odd event here and there but i somehow don't find it quite as addictive as it's predecessor.

It's still a great title though and there's a lot of nice new features and cars to make it worthwhile so i'll probably get through it eventually. Glad you're enjoying it Panzer smile

D3 had nice improvements, mainly letting the "living the life" part go. Gotta agree, it didn't grab me like D2 did. The clutch treatment was a nice attempt, but until we get force feedback clutches and sticks, it just got on my nerves. I wish it was more open with the racing, I think I got stumped needing some kind of points for drifting around or something and it killed my interest. Can't put my finger on it.
That was a killer deal for it and F1 2011. Wish F1 had been a little cheaper on it's own.

Yeah, I wish I'd waited for F1 2011 as well, didn't know it would go down in price that much so soon (as Dirt 3 didn't till now!), but whatever, I've raced a lot of 2011 already.

I'm loving the weather effects in Dirt 3. Simply awesome getting to do intense races in snow and rain.
