Wouldn't it be great for the observer to bail out when the balloon is in imminent danger?

I have no idea how they did it, but some First Eagles fans managed to mod this very thing in their sim. The 3rd Wire series are totally wide open for modding of course.

Are there/what are the limits on these sorts of animations in RoF? Lewis reload? possible? That's alwasy been a wish.

As 777 control the gfx engine I don't think there's any technical "limits" apart from time & money.

Was also a mod in RB3d BTW, I think it would be a great ad-on in RoF, if it is time and $$$, I would gladly pay for such a mod!!

True enough...I remember it in Red Baron 3D. Every time I approached an enemy balloon the observer would bail out as it was rapidly being winched to the ground.

Loved that effect for its realism.

I can't remember which one had it but the pilot would also jump out of his stricken aircraft without a parachute in RB2 or RB3 and scream all the way down.

I would prefer they have the balloons dragged down 1st and then we can have the the observer to bail out when the balloon is in imminent danger. Nice idea but the visual affect would be missed 99% of the time.
