It would be a boring SIM, just click on the target sign, and engage. (or put the system FULL AUTOMATIC and just laid back) Just hope that an RAF tornado/USN F/A-18 isn't in the airspace

Agreed. Unlike the weapons systems that are depicted in the SAM Simulator, the operator(s) is not presented with any actual analog target video. All the information that the radar processes is converted to digital and DSP filtered before it goes to the control van's computer (which decides the type of symbol to display to the operator). With all that said, the picture of the displays posted by Hpasp are called a synthetic display indicators. You don’t have to make a simulator for it. It is already out there: Atari’s Missile Command game from the 1980’s. (or put the system FULL AUTOMATIC and just laid back) I would hate to be the pilot (friendly or enemy) who makes one, wrong mistake in front of this radar with a full set of missiles at its command if this weapons system were to be felt in automatic. It would definitely clear everything that that radar does not like in front of it.

I have the exact same resolution problem on my new computer. So I thought, No Big Deal, I'll manually engage 1280x1024 resolution. The result:

VB detects is, as 1024x820. Just click on "Continue" and lets see, what happens...

Do you think that is possible to include the data from graphs for detonation possibility for 5E11 in the uppermentioned model you've used in the SIM?... I must admit I still have no idea how this should be achieved. Its on the To Do list.

If you try to continue in this situation, you won't be able to even click the buttons because they are not in the right place. Actually, I think I found part of the problem. It is the magnification system of Windows 7, turned on by default to 125%. It seems to be feeding false signals to the SAM Simulator program. So, finally the thing starts in 1920x1080 and I can actually click the buttons. Unfortunately, for some reason the sound doesn't come on, and also, the display is choppier and slower than on my 4-5 year old antique (Core Duo 2) laptop computer. I'm using an i7 processor, by the way.

Leaving out the moral arguments, I would hate to be the friendly pilot that trusts his life to a computer makes an engagement decision that ultimately boils down to a YES and NO flowchart as they are flying in that radar's sector of coverage.

I've noticed that when I am tracking target with parameter near 0 km, (usually when hunting for "Habu" in over Hanoi), SNR and launchers reaches almmost 90 degrees, and still can launch a missile. The light "Sinhron PU" is lit all the time. I think that it should lit off when launcher hit 75 degree, and when SNR hit 60 degrees angle we shouldn't be able to make "Pusk"... Am I correct? Hi, Hpasp, I think that in next version of SIM, you should do something about launchers and SNR... And to others: Is anybody interested about extended version of after action reports? : Hi, I was thinking about after action reports... How about including of the value of the "Parameter" in the informaton like: 54:01, V-755 20DSU Missile launched on Channel-1 Target distance: 90km Target azimuth: 258° Target elevation: 15° Target altitude: 23,9km Target parameter: xx.xkm SNR mode: LORO - 150km Missile guidance method: I87V/TT (I87V Three Point) Fuse method: Standart And including the uppermentioned data in the impact point, like: 55:05, Missile exploded on Channel-1 SR-71 Habu hit by SAM. (miss distance: 122m) Target distance: 42km Target azimuth: 315° Target elevation: 31° Target altitude: 24,1km Target parameter: xx.xkm It could be optional.... C'moon, need some support!
