Just wanted to say that having made some rudder pedals and got FacetrackNoir to run this game is completely different, I've even managed to keep a DR1 in the air for more than 30 seconds. Whoppee!!!

I used to have a joystick with a twist stick for rudder function, couldn't keep the Camel or Dr1 in the air at all, but got some pedals and suddenly they are very flyable.

I've never had problems flying with my twist stick. I've never used pedals, what makes it so much easier?

I have issues w/ a twisty stick as I am constantly - subconsciously - twisting it. And my stick has no lock. Thank goodness I have pedals.

Sure, it's not that complicated. We pay outrageous prices for a potentiometer, some springs, and a plastic foot rest.

Actually thanks to some advice on this site I made them from a Logitech Attack 3 joystick and a pair of car game pedals from a charity shop for £1.
This was the first try but the second edition is not much different.
