Sorry for the rant, need to vent.
I can not wait for COD:MW3 to come out so that all the people that just want to run around playing team deathmatch in conquest leave.
This morning I had my worst games of conquest on BF3 so far. Problems included and were not limited to the following:-
Helicopter issues People getting into them, flying to the other side of the map and jumping out while you are the gunner. People not joining you in an attack helicopter as gunner because all they want to do is fly around. When people do join you as gunner you fly nice circular routes around a target and they are not firing, they're just looking around with the gun and then jump out.
Team work Nobody was marking targets but it was obvious that people on the otherside were. Nobody seemed to actually be going for the objectives. Instead they were just running around shooting. Getting shot from behind when there are 3 supposed team mates around you. I hate being shot in the back by someone that has got between me and players on my side and no-one has noticed. You get into a transport vehicle start driving, stop by people to get in to drive them to objectives and they just run passed, in a direction nowhere near the objectives. Nobody getting into tanks as the top gunner, same as the attack helos. Nobody making any attempt to stop Tanks or helicopters.
As you can imagine my side lost and lost and lost. I really hope that people get the hang of being a team player soon.

IMO people use the vehicles as their personal taxis I saw a game yesterday where 2 guys grabbed the Super hornets , flew to the middle points and bailed out , then we got raped for 5 minutes by Soviet flankers and helos as we had no anti air

I hear you Tiger!! Last night was the same scenario for me. Had a bunch of games where our team was getting crushed because the rest of our team wouldn't play right or didn't have a clue. And I would add one more gripe. Not only do they not play correctly when playing objective games but then they quit out of the match because we're getting crushed. Imagine that! They are the problem and then they get mad that our team sucks and leave!! I had three other friends in our squad and it really seemed like it was 4 on 16 all night. I really don't get it. Battlefield 3 has a TDM mode. If that is what you want to play, why would you get into objective games?

You know, I pulled my copy of the game from the B/S/T forum this morning because I'm hoping the OP is correct. Maybe after MW3 drops, the real Battlefield players will show up.
I loaded up Medal of Honor and BC2 this morning just for comparison and had no trouble working with other players and getting the job done. I fire up BF3 and it's a monstrous Charlie-Foxtrot.
I will wait and see, but if it doesn't improve after MW3 hits the shelves, I will be trading it in on the PC version of Arkham City.

you know guys... I agree with you, and I know theres issues, and maybe it will get better after MW3 this Tuesday... but it has been my experience that teamwork is contazust... If I'm on a really bad server, and you'll know within minutes I just leave... when I do get on a open server, no friends, I? make sure I'm on comms and lead by example, supporting others and telling them verbally I'm supporting you... then I ask for assistance, no help, I give a friendly ass chewing... usually within minutes they start working with me... and you know you made a impact when you see them hook up there mics to talk with you... then usually we have a great few more rounds or so...
Most seem to want and like working as a team, but either think others don't or they just don't know how... It's always a good feeling, and you know you did well leading the crew when after game those players send you a friend invite.
bottom line... do something about bad gameplay... lead and win, and have fun.

I only saw you online, i think im going to have to add some more friends. I also noticed that with this game you cant join a friends game, you have to be invited. I still haven't gotten to try any Co-op yet.
Anyway, yeah, there is a little too much Lone Wolf going on at times but, overall, this has got to be my new favorite MP game to date (with my last favorite being BF:BC2).
I played some TDM the other night. It sucks. I'd forgotten how boring it is to just run around and shoot enemies with no objective in mind.
Slash and I played last night. We teamed up in a tank with him driving and me on the gun and we pretty much dominated by taking control points and working together and communicating constantly.
I think sometimes people are just....I dunno.....shy or something and don't want to talk to anyone that's not on their friends' list.
But, I will make a confession, I will use the chopper as a ferry to a control point. I don't like to play for any length of time in a chopper. I want to be on the ground, it's where I'm at my best.
And I can't fly anything more complicated than a kite. So don't ask me to pilot anything! LOL

LOL I think in the case we had last night Lee, using the Heli as a taxi wasn't bad because that is exactly what the pilot was trying to do. He was pretty much using it as a personnel carrier because he kept landing around flags, we would get out and he would take off to the next objective. Even though we weren't comminuicating with him, the idea got across and it worked great. I don't mind when the pilot is using the heli as a taxi and actually lands the heli near an objective instead of bailing out and leaving the passengers in a dead bird. That's just being a moron!

BTW Lee, next time we're on together we should try a couple of co-op missions. I think they're pretty awesome myself. Very similar to special ops mode in MW2 but with BF flavor!

I get so frustrated too. I tried playing with Knoxcide the other day, we partied up, and I tried to get a squad setup, and when we join the game we're on opposite teams, let alone the same squad. When we were on opposite teams again the next round, I was like screw it and took a break for awhile. It seems to be so hard to squad up with friends in this game. Most of the time if you see a friend playing, their game is full and you can't join anyway.
