The way that I figure it people will only claim what they believe thy shot down. This will eliminate the claims for planes that dragged themselves home only to die well away from the fight. Although in history there were plenty of those claims too.

Still working some performance improvemets and the elimination of air starts for balloon defense and excort missions for 10.2. Somethnig like this will tke a little time, but I think it's a great diea and I want to do it. i will continue to offer strictly manual and strictly automatic claiming. This will be a third option.

Would it be possible to add a random 50/50 chance to claim the kills that players don't see but the auto mission result picks up to simulate eye witnesses on the ground?

I don't want to see it for not claimed kills, whatsoever...
If you have a hint of a probable kill, redpiano, you may apply for it anyway
and let the CG decide weather you should be attributed for that or not.
It's more historical and realistic this way..

Sorry to interupt the current conversation, but I've identified a bug in Pat's marvelous campaign generator, and it doesn't appear to have been reported yet.

Bristol F2bs bombing missions (both types, various squadrons, both offline and cooperative missions). At spawn, the whole aircraft line just sit there with their engines ticking over and don't ever launch. I've tried it from both the flight commander's and wingman positions and even after I've taken off, the remainder just sit on the field.

The config settings are at default apart from identifying the correct folder for AARs and switching COOP off and on.

Can we get early morning dawn balloon busting missions please.

Whenever I try to create a mission in a German career I get an error that I don't own that plan even though I do. When I create a mission with any Entente career no matter what plane I choose the mission is with a SPAD 13.

From the main menu go to "Configuration" "Planes Owned". Select the planes that you own.
