During Military Monday, it appeared that Sahrani wasn't running right on my system. I have Arma2 installed on Steam, with OA, BF and PMC as add-ons, with no other mods installed yet. The OS is Win7 Pro 64.

The game is running version 1.59.79384 and is updated through Steam. Here is how the exe looks (in windowed mode) when choosing the Combined-Ops choice, with the modifiers added in the launch options:

Here is the list in the editor:

Here they show up in the expansions list:

Although the buttons Up/Down/Disable are visible in the image above, they appear to be without function. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Note: tried the arma.cmd, but got both the MPTable.shadow and the PixelShader error, even after running both Arma2 and OA separately (like here):

Extra weird thing: After selecting "verify integrity of game cache" of both Arma2 and OA in Steam, a total of 3 files were fixed/replaced. Sahrani shows up in Arma2 editor, not in OA.

Then this changed in the list of expansions:

Twice an instance of Arma2... and after a second integrity check, that first "arma 2" has changed to "ArmA 2". confused

Good details JAMF. I'm not a Steam user, so I don't understand some of that side.

But someone with Steam experience might recognize these issues for you.

Thx. smile Well, I took a deep breath and started a reinstall, after the previous post. Arma2 is done and checked as running well (in under two hours). Going to place the islands in now and change the exe withe the modifiers.

What a pleasure to fly the Cobra over Sahrani again. 1GB into the OA download, 6.8 to go. (1.5 hours)

Steam download estimation is more accurate than Microsoft minutes. smile Combined Ops launch still shows the 1st "arma 2" instance above, without the logo, but second instance is shown with the logo. BAF and PMC not installed this time.

I finally copied the islands into the Operation Arrowhead map, so they show up in the editor. I'll have to wait and see if that might cause issues. I'll install BAF and PMC tomorrow, after a thorough inspection of my eyelids for holes. smile

JAMF, is your OA installed "inside" your ArmA2 root directory?

If not, which root directory has your addon maps? OA or ArmA2 root?

Since the addon maps are working in ArmA2, I am suspecting they are in ArmA2's root directory. Try moving them to the OA root directory, if this is the case.

How are you starting combined ops? Through the Steam shortcut? Or are you using the CMD file I made? If so, did you edit that to point towards your actual install folders?

I can send you also my modified "combined ops" STEAM start file. I got it from some great people on the BIS forum. It is setup for Win7x64.

But first you need to delete all the launch options. Don't use that. It is set in the .cmd file.

Separate, as Steam automatically does:

D:\GAMES\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2
D:\GAMES\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead

I did just that:

I did start combined ops, by starting OA, then selecting the CO option.

When I tried using the CMD files, with the correct paths, but they resulted in the MPTable.Shadows and pixel-shader errors.

Cool, I'd like to try that. smile If you could send it to my jamf72 at hotmail dot com address, that would be great.

[EDIT] Kicked off Tao's version of Evo on the SimHQ server. I think I'll be running around in it till around 3AM local / 2AM UK time 23:00 Zulu/UK time.
