Here's the settings I'm using now and getting good textures as well as FPS, you may want to give it a try just in case:

Doesn't realy change anything for me. Although it seems like texture detail doesn't actually change the resolution of textures, it just seems to be extending the distance that the normal texture is drawn out away from you. There seems like there's only two levels of textures, one really really low detail and one low detail. I've yet to see a single sharp texture anywhere in the game except for the flyable helo's. Really just kinda shocked that everything is this low res in this day and age.

It's not really that huge of a deal i guess, as i'm still having fun, just really taken aback by how low res everything is.

Mmmm This does sound an Intresting sim / game, Just wondering however, has anyone tried it with eyefinity and if so what's the FOV like?

I tend to fly all my sims at 5670 x 1080, I did try the beta version and I have to admit the FOV felt all stretched. Would love to know if they have managed to fix that before I committed myself to buying this.

you can define fovLeft e.g. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=126572&highlight=fovleft
inside ***.TakeOnHProfile file within your Documents\Take on Helicopters Other Profiles\XXX folder

This is a slightly adjusted fov. as I really needed to focus on where to put the bird...and believe it or not, this part of the training really really made my hands sweat.....

Definitely, Iīve flown ToH since the first Community Preview. I wonder why certain things arenīt right yet, although they are using the middleware FDM. I feel it is rushed to the marked, and they want the community to make it right. I like that concept and I really hope that the time will bring much tweaks to the FM, though I doubt it. It seems that i.E. masses are still not properly rendered in this engine. I wonder if A. Petrovich is available to help these guys...

Looking back at BIS patching record (in ArmA games) I honestly doubt that BIS will not make any FM tweaks/improvement. I honestly believe that BIS will definitly release patches that will address FM issues (among other issues)!

kramer posted a link in another thread where BIS laid out a plan for upcoming patches, including incorporating feedback on the flight models.

Patience, folks! Patches don't get rolled out overnight. At least not patches that are any good.

Wow, this sim looks great!!!

BTW: is that some new Huey variant I've not yet seen? Looks like an HP412 but with the windscreen tilted for a more angled aerodynamics...

The "medium helicopter" in Take On Helicopters seems to be a Bell 412 but with some minor diferences (such as extra vertical stabilizers located in the tip end of the horizontal stabilizers) just like the "light helicopter" seems (clearly) to be a Hughes/MD 500 and the "heavy helicopter" seems to be an AgustaWestland AW101.

The lack of their "real" names and the minor diferences between the real helicopter and the game's counterpart could be a BIS strategy to avoid getting sued by the companies that make those helos (the real ones).
