Anyone playing this one, or its predecessor, Ship Simulator 2008?

Have things improved since the 1.4 patch for "Extremes"? I've been playing with the demo and thinking about buying it, but even my beast of a machine grunts and sweats trying to render the graphics.

It's the only title I've ever seen slow my machine down, and I run a lot of hectic stuff with better graphics, so I'm hoping they've fixed their code by now with the 1.4 patch.

Cheers!

Well, I went ahead and ordered it. And indeed the 1.4 patch has smoothed things out considerably. This runs much better than the demo.

And it's a nice, relaxing day at sea.

As Captain of the Agile Solution, I've taken the liberty of ordering the crew to break out the grog.

Cheers!

Quick question. If I am doing a cross atlantic run. Can I save at points and come back to it later so I dont have to take all month to do it. Or is time compression the only way?

I haven't got far enough to answer this one, but I think there's a save function. The Atlantic and various ports seem to be separate environments, so I'm still working out how it all fits together.

Cheers!
