Ok I know it's been a while since we updated you on the R.E.8 and I promise more pics next week, but for now here is a sneak peek. Everyone has been very patient so here's a pre-Halloween treat.

I warn you that this is early Alpha stage. Cockpit isn't even done yet. So this is a total WORK IN PROGRESS so look with caution. cheers

Enjoy.

Jason

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Especially since we know that, with An.Petrovich doing his science at 777, plane's beauty is never skin deep! thumbsup )

Nice!

Just out of curiosity, what percent of the total work in a two-seater plane are the cockpits?

I've been content with the pace of new planes so far. Too fast and you risk errors + it costs more. smile

However, the ratio of single-seaters to dual makes me undestandably more eager for 2 seaters.

On a related note, wasn't it an RE8 that Bruno Stachel captured and then later on shot down over his aerodrome in "The Blue Max" film?

I dunno what it was meant to be, but it was a Caudron Luciole, which also doubled as a German 2-seater at one point - see the pics here, altho they mis-identify the Lucoile when it appears as the British 2-seater:
