Ok, noticed the following, Tao. When you die, you can't use UAV's anymore. When the AC-130's respawn they are just regular C-130's. I think there was something else, but I can't remember now.
It also seemed like the planes were not respawning. In vanilla Evo they would respawn almost before I could get back over to them. Last night it was 10 minutes and the F-35's and Harriers were still gone. In fact the Harriers in the hanger with the F-35's disappeared and we never used them. They looked to be armed with GBU's...perhaps when I got in the other modified Harriers it removed those?

Huh, I specifically changed the C-130 respawn script to make them respawn as AC-130s. I will check it out, along with the UAV issue.
The aircraft should still respawn. It is interested to note that in the original Evo, the F-35s, for example, do not ever respawn -- they have no respawn script executed on them. I think it may have been a Hind rampaging in the base that erased all of those things... I'm considering adding some AI missile guys in the base.

The GBU Harriers and F-35's actually do respawn. They just respawn on the Eastern end of the field down by the C-130's. That's how it was on the other EVO as well. I also noticed that when the C-130's respawn they tend to collide with something that flips them up into the air and they come crashing down on the base. But then there is a plane there so I don't know if it is spawning 2 into the same place or something.
Ah that explains it! I didn't realize that they start the game in the hangers and then spawn at the end of the field. I assumed that Tao had relocated them and never thought to look down the other end.
Tao - If I haven't said it already, thank you for all your hard work. Evo was awesome, but your version is a cookie center in a bowl of AwesomeSauce..

I have to agree with TankerWade. That new UAV script is awesome. I like that if you push shift the camera will lock on to the spot you had the crosshairs on. Now if we can use it to designate for laser guided bombs or hellfires it would be amazeballs! This new version you cooked up is a great practice ground for all of the weapons systems and gadgets. Supporting you with that AC-130 was awesome last night. I can't wait to start seeing some screenshots and video captures from this version! Superb job.
I'm not Tao, but that's pretty cool. Nice rifle. Is that you in the video, Beans? If so, somebody it's not how I imagined you. Not sure what I imagined you as though. lol Maybe a bit older.

Haha, that's great. PMC Beans is here.
I just had my AR-15 out this weekend, and I'm surprised that your camera seems to have actually captured the right sort of sound of it firing. The bass is missing clearly but it's the right 'sort' of sound. I've yet to find an ArmA sound mod that has an M4 with the right sound. Or any of the pistols, for that matter...
You gotta get your thumb-over-bore style grip on if you're gonna look like a real contractor, though! lol
Gratuitous Travis Haley shot. I'll post some pictures of my rifle sometime.

No, I was trained to shoot properly! I have a mid length gas system and quad rail so if I moved my arm way out there it would feel awkward. That is the grip my friend uses and when I tried it I saw no advantage and only fatigue for my left arm. I was thinking I would like that AFG but it just didn't feel right. I guess I'm just old school, ha.

I've got 9 foot arms, so I thought I'd give the AFG a try with a long rail (13" Troy TRX Extreme). It's not bad, but again, long arms help. I have a much smaller carbine-length setup on my .22 carbine and a closer, more conventional grip/rail setup and it works just fine too.
@Tao,
I like JSRS for the reasons you mention. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good for the M4/M-16 sounds.
By the way, Beans, nice BCG. I've become very spoiled with my FailZero bolt when I clean.

Indeed. I am very greatful that my wife got the chromed bolt/bolt carrier. It makes clean up so much easier. I was able to wipe most of the carbon off and just a little CLP to get the build up on the tail of the bolt.

I have completed my fixes and made a few other additions. Sent to adlabs for uploading.
You should now still have the UAV ability after respawning, and the C-130s will correctly be AC-130+ when they respawn. Additionally, I have added some AI-controlled Avenger launchers around the base. Also fixed a graphics issue with the AC-130 co-op script tracers.
You will need all of this extra firepower, because the Russians just completed a large arms sale to the Takistani Army, equipping them with Vodniks, T-90s, BMP-3s, and the ferocious Tunguska AA system, which will really reach out and touch you if it isn't destroyed by ground forces. Keep your finger on the countermeasures key and be wary when entering enemy airspace.

I sent it out but it seems it didn't go through for some reason, and unfortunately I'm now away from my ArmA computer :- / Oh well, fixes are made at least!

Tao, I was on the server last night and I am still getting the bug in that EVO that when I try to drive any vehicle I just go in a left turn over and over.
I tried some other public EVO's and I have no problem there.

Never heard of anything like that -- certainly sounds like a hardware issue, not an Evo issue, but if it doesn't happen in all missions then I'm really not sure. Nothing in the Evo scripts modify movement, so you've got a really odd issue... do you have controls mapped in odd way, or something, perhaps?

That is a controller issue that is intermittent at best. I get it on occasion and usually just have to unplug my X-52 from the USB and plug it back in (after exiting ARMA). Sometimes I notice that if a vehicle is parked with it's wheels turned that I get that problem as well.
