Anyone familiar with Maneuver Warfare have recognize the meaning of the clan name;-)

I just started this clan, I am a US 20 years tactical gaming veteran, been exposed to tactical training for combat on the field and enjoy tactical gaming reflecting reality (if possible) which represents a real challenge for the gamer. The Tactical challenge is the goal. The "blowing #%&*$# up" is just a consequence of good tactical planning, development and execution!

This group is for MATURE GAMERS interested by victory by incapacitating and neutralizing the Opfor by taking their center of gravity (home base) through shock, and disruption. Those gamers must be trained to work fast and accurately in small, cohesive groups, where they will observe, make decisions, act upon it, then because their action has modified the situation, they will observe again, make another decision and act upon it, then start the same process anew (OODA loop: Observe, Orient, Decide and Act), until they have neutralize the enemy center of gravity . This clan is about Maneuver Warfare gaming style, not Attrition Warfare gaming style.

The "Schwerpunkt" is a point of concentration for the maximum effect or Main Effort to focus for a decisive action for Offensive, Defensive or Withdraw. Here, for offensive purpose it is the main effort on enemy weakness to create a Gap from which a successful breakthrough is achieved. The resources involved ( and this is where you step in hopefully) are elite personal.

Mission tactics will be constant during the battle, and I cite Colonel Michael D Wyly, USMC ret.: "Assigning a mission and depending on subordinates to carry it constitutes the tactic. To allow the subordinates to decide on its own initiative what to do is the means of getting the most appropriate decisions made on the spot and acted on more rapidly than the enemy can respond to your actions." In other words, the subordinate have the initiative and the latitude to create and follow aiming points and decide to Attack, Withdraw or Defend to fit the instant reality. What the subordinates must be assigned is the intent or the output desired by the commander, which is not difficult to understand at this point, since the only possible output is not the total destruction of the enemy but the successful occupation of the Opfor base before the Opfor occupies successfully the Bluefor base.

On a more technical side, you will only need to join, to own some armored vehicles from the Tier I through the Tier III. The upper Tiers armored vehicles might eventually be needed much later.

Did I miss it, or what game/sim are you playing in this new "clan", Since it's in the general armor forum, I would assume either SB Pro PE or WoT, about the only 2 current games i know.

And yes 20 years already, I am 50!....I did not say Tactical gaming PC. There are Tactical Board games and I played those for a while, when I could not afford a computer. Then, the definition of Veteran as per the Merriam-Webster is: 1a: an old soldier of long service b: a former member of the armed forces 2: a person of long experience usually in some occupation or skill.

Im very interested.

I can beat you in age being 59 years young.

I have Tiger 2, Tiger, Panther 2, IS and T43.

I seem to ge best results in Panther 2 and T43 as a wolfpack with other mediums or Tiger 2 being more patient. I'd love to work with a team as I shake my head at some people's lack of situational awareness in this game.

Unfortunately on Sydney Austalia time so would be difficult to allign time however I'm happy to play in the middle of the night or early morning if it means a more satisfying WOT experience

Interested as well. I do not have anything beyond a Tier VIII Jagd Panther and Lowe, though continuing to build upon my TD fleet and light tanks. My in game is also strykerpsg and would love to engage with another well versed in tactics and manuever. Just let me know when you'll be on and I'll add you to my friends list.

I am on generally around 17:00 Pacific time during the week except Mondays and Thursdays.

On week ends it could become insane.

You'll be fine with light tanks. Maneuver warfare is fast, you can't use heavies unless they are for distracting the ennemy, creating or keeping GAPs open. In the beginning we will be using small light fast tanks, and it is ok since we will be playing in the same tier with and against others. When everyone is well rounded to the practice of MW, people will be more skilled at picking their machines since they will know exactly what performances to look for depending of the task at hand.

Tanks like BT2's,BT7's, M2's, M3's and Luch's are well suited for the beginning. Cheap to buy, to upgrade and to maintain. Yet 3 or 4 of those machine together rolling at 60kn/h (40 miles/hour) the field, jumpimg from cover to cover to kill arty then occupy ennemy base in 3 mins or less depending on the type of map, level of organization of the Opfor and the Bluefor participant level of experience with MW, will bring you EXP up faster than you think as long as we neutralize their base first.

Whats with all the old farts (I just turned Fifty)! I always assume Im the oldest one in the game. You can sort of bracket age or maturity by whether or not a player is stuck on the words "FAIL", "epic" and "NOOB" or craps himself if there is any Freindly Fire or his team gets out played. Ill look for you guys I go by Hammer757 in WOT.
