Just wondering, back in the day a couple of companies made like a keyboard usb movement device that let you rest your hand in it and hit keys for like first person shooters and rts's... they still make those?

I've been usin' 'em for as long as they've been around. I'm currently usin' the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard, and it's by far the best of the bunch. Just like a good HOTAS or TrackIR, I could probably get away w/ just a mouse and KB, but why would I want to?

Negative. I really don't think your gonna find a controller that'll allow you to move the mini-stick from one side to the other. There's always the Cyber Snipa Game Pad v2 if your lookin' for somethin' a little more ambidextrous, but I've never used it, so I can't comment on it's quality.

X-Keys have some models with a mini-joystick that might work for you. http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys.php

Specifically:

http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xk12Joystick.php
http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xkcontrol.php

Those aren't thumb sticks, but smaller than our big ol' HOTAS sticks.

They have some touchpad stuff too.
