Yes, I know it's 2011, but I'm just getting round to trying to run Grand Prix Legends and its variants (esp. GTL) on a Mac (27" iMac 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.6.8). The built-in graphics:
Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4670
Type: GPU
Bus: PCIe
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Displays:
iMac:
Resolution: 2560 x 1440
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color
I have Parallels 6, Crossover Games (a subset of CodeMasters' "Crossover," which lists GPL as "Bronze," the lowest level -- i.e. least likely to work well -- of PC games that work on a Mac with X-Over, and, of course, Boot Camp, but I'd like to talk to someone who has actually managed to run GPL with all, (or most of) the bells and whistles, successfully.
Also, I have NO idea how peripherals such as wheel and pedal sets work in the PC emulation environment. Right now, the best wheel I've got is a Logitech E-UG8 Red MOMOŽ Force set; I'm certainly willing to buy a G-25 or G-27 (and a Track-IR, maybe), but not if I can't make them work
If there's another forum which would fit my needs, or if anyone has any hot tips (other than buy a Windows PC) on this subject, please let me know.
Thanks!
Bart
