I finished my new build this past weekend. I've been busy installing my sims and utilities all weekend. I've got nearly everything working except my CH Control Manager.

To move my numerous Il-2 installations more simply, I moved my old hard drive into the new computer as Drive G. I copied all this over with no problem. I installed CH CM fresh from the CH website. Then I copied the 'maps' folder from my old install into the new one. When I look in the new install folder, I see the map files, but when I run CH CM and click the 'Open' tab, I've got nothing there. Any ideas? I'm really itching to do some co-ops later tonight...

Hi vocatx,

It's probably just not looking in the same location. Did you try browsing to the folder where they're actually located? Once you load one and save one, the CM will remember the new location, but the default puts it down under the (hidden) AppFiles folder under your User folder. The CM will go there initially, you can make a new folder anywhere and just copy the .MAP, .CMC, and .CMS files there. It can't be anywhere under \Program Files (x86) so it's not int the Maps folder under \Program Files (x86)\CH Products\Control Manager\Maps folder anymore. Windows doesn't allow that or any of the folders under Windows I think. I just created a "CH Maps" folder under my \User\Username folder, that's okay or you might put it up under just \Users. I think that would give all users access to them.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

- Bob

Thanks for the help, Bob. Got it going now. It also has to run under 'administrator'. That was the last wrinkle to work out.
