Holy bejaysus..has anyone else seen the new 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire kits? The detail is just staggering, as is the molding, the shape and everything else about the kit. It includes a fully detailed cockpit, engine, ultra-thin cowlings held in place by magnets, photo-etched details, and so on. I've got a Mk.IX on the way in the mail from evilBay, gonna build it into a Norwegian Spit from the Biggin Hill wing.

That is some crazy detail. It looks a lot more detailed than my 1:48 Tamiya Spit, but with the same precise molding. You're going to have some fun with that!

Pity that guy didn't keep up with the progress reports as it was looking very good.

Expensive but then they have come on a long way since Frog biggrin

I got that kit as well as decals from Vingtor... Now if I just had time to build it. ;-)

Nice smile I'm gonna get decals for a Norwegian machine as well, gotta head to the hobby shop and see what they've got. I'd like to build a machine from the Norwegian wing at North Weald.
