Really stupid question here I'm sure....

Trying to get into BMS now so just running some training missions.

However I have a problem..

I cannot designate targets!, I can have 2 targets on the FCR using TWS mode, slew the cursor over one of them, hit TMS Up and nothing. Master arm is on, Aim120 selected. Pressing either Num0(Ins) or my throttle button does nothing and the button is mapped correctly. Am I being thick here?

Thanks

Hmm sounds like you do all correct.
Are you in AA mode or still in NAV (look down-left HUD)

Running in TWS try TMS-Right to toggle between targets (though TMS up should work too)

Nope that was on for sure. Maybe I wasn't in AA mode, I'll check again.

Ok it was the keystrokes, it was all up the swanny! Sorted now.

Does anyone else think BMS is much more sensitive on the stick than AF was? I'll have to see if I can calm things down a bit!

Increase the saturation value for pitch and roll and you can calm down a nervous plane. Go to setup/controllers/advanced/flight model and you will see the saturation drop down menus for your controls.

Yaeh, someone in here let me know that it was TMS up. "0" key in the number pad on your keyboard. I've assigned a button to it on my Saitek X45, since it's used a lot. you don't want to be taking your eyes of of the screen in, the middle of a fight, to look at your keyboard.

In AA mode on my X52 I have the top left hat on the stick set to TMS, up/down/left/right. Much quicker using that with the hat on the throttle for slewing the radar cursor.

Slowly getting my stick set up the way I want it. Still prefer AF at the moment cause I don't have trackIR. BMS is too hard to fly without it IMHO.
