Im greedy Heinkill, i like full settings and only play maxed out , i suppose with missions like this though i could lose the trees,roads and grass Will give it another crack tonight and see how she goes. That is the first time i have had a vertical fight in this sim so it was really cool.

These missions center around events of October 5 1940 when this pilot claimed 5 victories over separate two sorties in one day.

And here we are: BoB Game Hub Mission of the Week number 8 - Wick's Big Day Out, Part 1

Helmut Wick was arguably the greatest fighter ace of the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain. In 7 months he went from a trainee under Werner Molders, to the leading ace of the Luftwaffe with 56 victories to his name.

In this recreation of his first sortie on October 5 1940, you can fly as Wick (or against him) on the mission where he scored 3 victories. The mission features a fantastic skin by Shado.

As usual the mission was painstakingly researched using RAF combat records and features the historical units involved in the actual clash, including Wick's JG2, the Ju88s of KG54 he was escorting, and the RAF squadrons 607 Spitfires and 238 Hurricanes which went up to intercept them.

While created to match Wick's POV, the player can choose to fly any of the aircraft in this mission.
