Only reason I bring this up...

I remember shooting either horses or deer. Haha. Sorry. Carry on.

One of the easter eggs featured a flying saucer.

Some other miscellany never seen before:

Pile up at Trois Ponts. Those crafty engineers did it again. Much to Peiper's consternation.mad

A Halifax near Bonn-Hangelar:

An A-36 in the Med?

These are old screenies. Good thing this is OT.

The German horse-cart horses could be killed also. I do know there was artwork in the game files for dead horses.

Janes WWII Fighters was my introduction to online gaming and I spent many hours enjoying it back when EA/Origin had vision and great expectations. I made many online friends and we progressed to other sims like MS CFS2 and ultimately to IL-2. Those days are gone as most things do eventually, but it was the best we had at the time and we made the most of it. Ah...back when you walked into a brick-n-mortar software store, paid your money and walked out with a nifty box that included a bound manual and a disk you could play 'til your heart's content. I see the direction the game business has gone and people say we've progressed... nope

I came to Janes WWII fighters after a long hiatus from gaming: basically since the days of Gallaxian and Tetris. I was amazed that the gameplay looked like the picture on the box!

Still here still flying.
