Gents, anyone got JAS running on Vistas? It fires up, plays the intro and then when it gets to the main screen the graphics go 'stripey'. It looks as if the graphics are 'ripped' and consist of horizontal lines, that move when I move the mouse. Game is patched to 1.01B. Any ideas? tried running my desktop in low rez, etc..

I can tell you if I set Run as Administrator on the shortcut and Disable Desktop Composition as well it runs under Win 7 Ultimate x64. Though I get texture bandy looking graphics...

It's either not liking my graphics card or on board sound? I've got a Nvidia N460GTX, wondering about rolling back the graphics drivers? I know people knock the game but I'm in the mood for some retro action, and I like the music wink

I have an ATI HD 5570 for graphic card.

The game I like also for some simple quick action. Had to wait though until I had a better (newer)
computer to play it. Guess that says something about the coding?

Harry,

before going down the 'drivers' route, try running it in the d3dwindower program. It solved a lot of problems with nvidia cards for EAW and might be easier than messing with your drivers. If you cant find it online, give me a PM and I can email it over to you.

regards,

Pobs

Hi,
My OS is WinXp 32bit; but here is a link that may contain some helpful JAS files- JAS Collection.zip. In-particular are some fixes by shadowjack - JAS101bUnofficialPatch.exe.
His patch wasn't for your exact problem, but maybe it will be helpful in some way.
