Looking really good now.

I found that I needed to let the game control the settings not the card so switched the AA and AS etc over to the game but left the CUDA-GPUs on all (not sure on the effect of that) and texture filtering set to quality etc. on the card.

Then in the first game settings screen I set the slider to 7/10, AS to x4 and ticked the multi-core then in the game options panel I ticked everything and set them all to high. I get very smooth frame rates, good AA, nice lighting and long draw distance with fine details.

It's the best it's ever looked.

I've managed to get the game running OK but it's a bigger resource hog than DCS A-10, I think.

Does look good though. Worst FPS hits I found are shadows and Depth of Field.

I did not find any difference using the multicore tick box (read in the forum it's for debugging only)

E8400, GT440 and old XP here.

Have you tried the Horseshoe route? Single figure FPS for me!

I prefer the UK stuff. Frames are actually better now with the higher detail than they were on the old sim. Must be something to do with the way it's handled. Maybe something I changed. I can hear the processor working hard but no worse than most other games.

Not the Portsmouth route, not for me asnyway, runs very poorly now unless I set graphics options to low, and yet WCML now seems to run better.

Thanks. I agree about the application controlled in your graphics card control panel. This makes a very big difference. I didn't know about the shift/z for fps counter so will try this out.

Graphics are a bit frustrating. My hat goes off to the DCS crew. I can run A-10 with full graphics and not a single issue of bad frame rates single player (multi I turn off a couple options and no problems)

This sim medium settings in a city cause it nightmares.

I can run it with all boxes ticked and maxed and the slider on 7/10 and I am getting minimum 15fps and average 20. Looks very nice. Yes the odd stutter but nothing to spoil it.
