Hi guys,
This question is for anyone who's pretty good at electronics and circuitery.
You probably know there is a way to use regular ON/OFF toggle switch with a "hacked" keyboard controller, by building a small circuit with a relay and capacitor.
Only problem is, the cost can get pretty high when a lot of toggles are involved... relays sells for approximately 3-4$ each.
SOmeone in a foum on AVSIM mentioned it was possible to do the exact same thing using SCRs (thyristor) instead of relays. SCRs sells for approximately 0.75$ each.
So, could anyone confirm if this really can be done and if so, provide a basic circuit using SCR - and last but not least, what type of SCRs would be required, assuming the power source would be a 12v battery?
Thanks guys!
