OK, so Nevada scenery is on the way. And we all wonder what the next DCS aircraft is going to be. We've had a few clues.

Taking this into consideration, I'd like to propose that no one would work so hard on that Nevada scenery unless they were going to get some mileage out of it.

The Nevada scenery is not likely to be a use once and forget proposition.

So the question is, what part of Nevada does it cover?

If it covers the area around Nellis, down south, the next DCS aircraft will be the F-16C.

If it covers the area around Fallon, up north, the next aircraft will be the F/A-18C.

That would allow them to get maximum mileage out of their work on the Nevada scenery.

The question then becomes, what have they got in mind, some sort of "Red Dawn" campaign?

Discuss.

Cheers!

Nellis can cover F-16's, T-38's, F-18's, F-15C/E's, F-22's, F-35's, and probably a few other things that don't get much mention wink
How about some QF-4's, Predators, B-1/2/52, C-5/141/21/130, KC-135 ... biggrin

Hornets at Nellis would be transients unless something has changed since I retired. Lemoore (California) and Fallon are Hornet territory last I knew. But I have been retired for a long time.

Cheers!

Right, but lots of aircraft go there for Red Flag exercises, so they can do a substantial amount of activity there.

There are Hornets a couple of valleys over from Nellis, at China Lake/Ridgecrest.

Having not played Falcon 4.0, I hope it is an F-16. Having played F/A-18 I hope it isn't an F/A-18....funny thing is I'd love it if it was an F-15E though I played F-15

I'd like an F-15E Strike Eagle. Maybe I'm kooky but I'd like to go back a little ways and have an A-7 Corsair II with carrier ops.

It obviously going to end the question at some point this year, so probably more like "the 4 month long question" :p
