Supposedly the Blue Angels are only Performing Fri/Sat.

Also I dont think I'll make it from hockey practice to oceana in time to see anything, and sunday is in doubt because half the performers leave or dont perform.

Last time i went was 2006, it was ok, but in the 90s (95-98) there were alot of Tents w/ free stuff (Janes Combat Tent) etc etc.. Basically Alot of attractions.

in 2006 seem there was static planes a few tents, and A LOT of vendors w/ overpriced food/drink (good thing i know people on base, i just walk into the hanger store :p).

security was tight in 2006, couldnt even bring in your own bottled water.

well you didn't miss anything if you didn't make it... A friend and myself drove down Wed night so were there Thurs-Sun. Caught some local traffic in the pattern on Thurs. Fri we were on for the practices, morning was ok, Navy Fleet Fly by was cool, but down pours and crud moved in and kept most of the stuff grounded.

Blues got up shortly on Fri but had to land because of lightning and heavy rains that came in. They ended up canceling that show and we split. Friends who out lasted the rain got some great shots of the sunset and were treated to a great evening show while I was at Hooters cheers

Sat wasn't any better, low ceiling kept most of the planes grounded. Some got up but being dark my Sigma lens doesn't work well in low light and shots came out like sh!t.... We were going to try Sun morning but just as we were leaving the motel it started raining and just drove the 12 hours back home to NH...

Hopefully next year we'll have better weather, truly sucked all 3 days barely any flying.... banghead
