This thread is going in circles.
ED doesn't choose DCS aircraft based on the consumer market. We're basically getting the microwaved left-overs from a government sponsored banquet. Beggers can't be choosers though.

What we know:
-It will be a "USA fixed wing aircraft"
-The project will be an outgrowth of a current defense contract, most likely similar to the A-10C transitional desktop trainer.
That said, I did some googling:

The Fighter Collection is one of two interested parties in an ANG JTAC training station contract^
-Their partners in developing the A-10C DTS, Total Immersion, currently have a product on their site called "Prime DTS" a UAV simulator for the USAF:
http://www.totimm.com/more googling to come, but that's a start if other people want to join the hunt.
Other considerations: Look at US Aircraft export activity, there's a lot of F-16 and F-18 activity. Only issue is both have a lot of classified systems on board, but they may go the VRS route and "guess" at it. At this point, I wouldn't rule out a UAV sim either folks. It
does fit the profile, as it would fit into the JTAC environment.
Still, my money is on F-15e, as there's been a lot of sim activity from Boeing recently, and ED might have had some sub contract deals in the works.
