Considering getting a set of 2x4GB RAM since there are some on sale.

I was just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on how important the timings, volts, and Mhz? What I know is lower timings = faster, higher Mhz = faster. But is it significantly much faster that would justify say a £10 price difference?

I'm hoping a "cheap" RAM upgrade will improve my loading times in DCS A10... I know some recommend a SSD but that's out of my price range for now.

Currently working with a OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3P1333LV4GK).

You can never have enough RAM! If increasing RAM degrades performance, then that points to the OS and/or program's (or even hardware's) shortcomings.
