Other than the ones included because they don't seem complete. I want to make my own .tmj file but don't want to make the .tmm file. Yes...call me lazy Lol.

I feel real stupid. Where do you put macro files? I have only used TMC files in the Profile directory before. Within your Foxy directory, you will see a folder called "files." This is where your .tmm (macrodefinition) and .tmj (joystick) files reside. The key is to make sure you have a line in your .tmj file pointing to which .tmm file to use. Hope this helps. Griff

For those who would like to see my file, please send me a PM with your email address so I can forward what I have. At least it will get you started in the right direction.

Just FYI, if any of you guys want to setup a realistic Cougar profile (meaning no shift modifiers to get extra buttons to zoom the view in for instance) you don't need a Cougar profile. All you need to do is assign all the HOTAS commands to the proper buttons/switches in game (ie. DMS, TMS, pinky button, and so on). Then edit the falcon bms.cfg file and change the parameter g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel to 1 so that dgft and missile override modes are automatically cancelled when you put the switch at the center. That's it, and that's how I have my Cougar setup for BMS, no programming on the Cougar at all.

That's it, and that's how I have my Cougar setup for BMS, no programming on the Cougar at all. Thanks for that Kosmo. There is one small problem for those of us who are not programming savvy. Its just that many of the instructions you suggest above, mean little to us. eg quote: "....... edit the falcon bms.cfg file and change the parameter g_bHotasDgftSelfCancel to 1 so that dgft and missile override modes are automatically canceled .... " In truth I do understand that but I sure many here don't. But here's the bit I don't understand quote: " .......assign all the HOTAS commands to the proper buttons/switches in game ......" . Please, I'm not being critical and I'm grateful that you have been prepared to post, but to "us" programming illiterates out here, it unfortunately something we cannot always handle. FalconBMS4 is huge challenge on its own, particularly if you don't come from previous Falcon 4 background (ie. original 4.0, SP3, Free, AF, etc). It would be lovely just to be able to load simple .tmm/.tmj files into my Cougar through Foxy (oooops ...... now I'm doing it too ) and get back to BMS4 training. That's why Griff's offer, whether it proved successful of otherwise is attractive, even if not necessarily preferred. Now I've offended Griff .....

Apparently BMS contains a Coug profile alrready. This is true. Inside your X:\Falcon BMS 4.32\User\Joystick\cougar folder there are 3 different profiles. I use the Dunc_DX profile and it works great for me on my cougar.
