Already been posted 3x before. Still worth another post though.

Damn, that's a lot of work! I wonder how they fix it if something gets broken in the middle of it... suspend a guy from the ceiling?

Had one of those many years ago.
Bought it for the kids (honest...) a little F15 and Mig 29 that zipped around a track doing loops zooms and rolls.
The bodies were held on by magnets and if you overtook you could knock your opponents body off.
I seem to remember spectacular crashes rather than succesfull combats...

Seriously? There was a Slot car kit for Jet Fighters? I would love to see pix of it if you have any. My Slotcar club have many aviation enthusiasts and they would get a real kick out something like that.
