For whatever reason Firefox likes to delete my history every few weeks. I am not sure if this is a Windows 7 error (would not surprise me) as I never had this issue on Vista and XP. If this is a Firefox issue, how can I prevent this?

Now my backup folder no longer works. This is the 3rd time Firefox/Win 7 has wiped Firefox's history. The first two times I was able to copy/paste my old Firefox folder and it brought all of my old history/passwords, but this time it is not working. I will have to start over from scratch, but is there any way to prevent this from happening in the future?

How long do you have it set up to keep it for?
Mine is always set for 1-2 days max, so I haven't seen that issue.

If you open up the Options and then click the Privacy tab there should be an option to change your history settings.
