How would I install the Windows XP mode in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit? It is an upgrade version (clean install).

Is this the official download page? :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual...icked=winXpMode

For steps 2 and 3 it is constantly giving me a download like to WindowsActivationUpdate.exe, even though I have downloaded an ran the file.

I can not figure out how to download the 500MB file. Is it because I only have an upgrade version and not a retail? What else do I need? Or is this just another one of Win7/ MS #%&*$# ups?

i was able to download fine.... Validation issue?, Since that's what it keeps prompting you to download and run. I Think I downloaded, Installed, and Rebooted, then it let me download the Virtual PC 7, then XP mode.

Looks like I had to enable cookies in Fire Fix. It finally downloaded and for the time being is installed properly. thumbsup

Useless for gaming since it does not support discrete graphics cards.
