I think the problem is not everyone has a shiftier and clutch. Wasn't as common until the G25.

True, but I suspect the iRacing crowd is more likely to have at least a G25/27. One day maybe they'll separate those with car-proper transmission and shifter.

Of course, since NO ONE races a car with a tiny 20-something inch window and field of view with inertial dampeners on to prevent any sensation of motion except in the steering wheel, you could say any argument about levels of realism is moot.
It's all just opinions, and since the only one that matters is your own...
