Hello...just wanted to give an update to the new set of 512x512 terrain tiles.
I just completed tile #50...so only 9 tiles left! whoohoo
I'm busy with work...I have only really worked on tiles during the weekends so it's going slow but it "is" still going forward. yep

you might want to do the extra 5 tiles while you are at it, since 1.28E can use all 64. some coastal town tiles with harbours would be good smile

Any news about the port mod or whatever you call it now days? confused
Will it ever be released? old_simmer

If it will perhaps it would be a good idea to make the new coastal town tiles with harbours compatible with the port mod.... wink

the ports mod got absorbed into the new target set and map for 1.28E, but it has been stalled by the need to finish the ww1 map first. The problem with the ports mod was the timing of it, first off it was going fine then we upgraded the game and with the new 5 tiles it made no sense to use the old tm with the ports in place of several of the existing tiles, so I had to start again using the new 5 tiles, but the editors wouldn't work with the full 64 tile set at first so there was another delay while the editors caught up with the change... the Ray and I set out to redevelop the map and target set to the new 1.28E standard.... it is still there and sitting on a back-burner while I rebuild the ww1 map... If you would like the tiles etc to have a go at it yourself, please just let me know, I don't make proprietorial claims over mods, if someone wants to finish it off or whatever, just shout... I will be happy to see it in game asap and am happy to hand the files over to anyone who wants to give it a try. In fact didn't I send you the port files a while ago Per ? ...

and over Munich...





I have two versions of the terrain this is the "darker"...there is a lighter version as well.

I think I will make an alt version of the 3 main field tiles bnfield1/bnfield2/bnfield4 and also a alt version of the bncostct to give options with coastal city maybe a grass tile...if you have thoughts of which tiles would need alt versions...let me know. biggrin

Pob's these alt field tiles I mention above could be used as field3.bmp/field9.bmp or just in their normal place if you like them better.
same for alcty6.bmp this could used the second costct.bmp and so on with base.bmp and river3.bmp...as long as the terrain set has 5 extra or alt tiles to add.
