I pinned a folder shortcut to my taskbar. When I right click on it, it lists a series of desktop folder names, none of which exist, and in Japanese characters. My earlier install of Win 7 did this, too. No idea what's going on. When I try to navigate to them/click on them, Windows is unable to find them, which makes sense because they don't exist!

Googling this only brings up information on how Win 7 supports Japanese characters.

Anyone got any ideas?

Where is the folder you are pinning located? Is it in one of your external drives?

Do you have folder options set to show system files?
Just a shot in the dark, still don't know why you'd be getting Japanese.

I checked folder search options but didn't see any "show systems files" setting, so I don't know.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011
