Iron horse that is!

I've owned a Honda ST1100 for about 10 years. It's been a fantastic and reliable bike, but I thought it was time for something newer. I'm not getting any younger so I thought something with a little more power would be nice.

Enter the Concours 1400.

It's a 2010 model that had a whopping 1400KMs on the odo when I picked it up. I couldn't complain about the price either! biggrin

Almost 160HP and a hell of a lot of fun. I bought it approx 1200KMs away so my inaugural ride was a decent one. Although it led me to the conclusion that the OEM seat absolutely blows. The ST1100 is far more comfortable for long distance riding. I could have made a seat cover out of a porcupine pelt and it would have been an improvement.

All is OK though, Corbin makes a really nice seat and a color matched Snuggler trunk to go with it which I'll be buying over the winter.

Woohoo!
Love getting faster, sleeker, more powerful bikes! Heheh.
Why is it the factory seat always is so uncomfortable? Whose butt do they test with, you wonder?
Looks good. Like it is moving just sitting there in the driveway. wink

Do you ride 2-Up very often?

Very rarely do I ride with a passenger. The Mrs, while she doesn't hate bikes doesn't care for them enough to go on a trip with one. In fact, that Corbin seat w/snuggler totally does away with the passenger seat.

Arise, Lazarus!

Did some tweaks to the girl over winter. New exhaust, got the ECU reflashed to a bit more aggressive mapping (ZX14 like) and had to change that god forsaken seat. Have had a very mild winter so I've been riding it a bit. It's.... fun. smile

Darn, I hardly see any of those around Shanghai. Sweet.
Plenty of electric mopeds though, anyone interested in jpgs?

Cheers,
Slug

Planning on a Southern Utah trip this year. I ride glacier park generally a few times a year too though but that doesn't count as it's just a day trip! smile

That's not a bike, that's a two-wheeled living room.

You got a new exhaust too since the first pics?
