Let me tell you - this is a MAJOR MAJOR update ... almost rewrite of Falcon.
Wait until you feel the difference flying the new flight model. It's been tested by active F-16 pilots amongst others.
Landing is a whole new ball game now, and with the weather modelling ... it's a very new beast.
Be prepared to be a student again!

James "Nutty" Hallows I actually thought the flight model was a little weird to me, it felt like jello. I only put in about 15-20 minutes so far, maybe I don't have things set right, I'm still messing around with it.

Just ordered a used copy of F4 off of Amazon (WITH MANUAL!!!) for $8 shipped.  FYI, if anyone is interested, the first seller here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B...;condition=usedis offering the manual only for about $8 shipped. I never played Falcon, but now looks like a good time to jump in. I'm assuming the operations portions of the manual are still pretty relevant? You only need the exe file not the whole CD, the exe is only about 8mb.

Adding my two cents again: If you get only blank MFDs when switching the master modes, that is not a bug but a feature, you´ll need to programm your prefered MFD setups in the DCU for the Modes. Just like the EWS programms, you´ll just need to do it once. Click on the DCU symbol right of the map, the second one from below to programm it. If your EWS system doesn´t work, that is because you haven´t set up the EWS programs. BMS runs rock solid on my Wind 7 64 also. Awesome, all of that sounds pretty complicated but in the end it´s not complicated at all. manually setting dtc is an option of course, however using RESET button under each dtc tab would make things even more easier... True that, it does makes things easier, but then I do like to fiddle with things and the dtc, is a nice way to cumtomize your own aircraft. You just got to love all the details on this sim.

Can anyone tell me how to zoom with the TGP? What keystroke? V and/or SHIFT-V If I remember correctly. Thanks, but no cigar, that only changes the FOV. EDIT: I got it, mapped MAN RNG to one of the rotaries on my X52 Pro throttle. It's on page 89 in the manual.

IIRC FOV is the zoom on the TGP.

Hey guys, After hearing about BMS-4 being released, I thought I'd give it a go. I bought the original when it first came out, and thank God I always kept it. Question tho, Does the old squadron leader binder still apply, or has things changed so much that I have to read the new manual? And what about the old key card, is it of any value? Looking forward to this anyway, but would hate to have to do a bunch of printing.
