I have almost got my M4 up to the exp points for an E8.

How does it compare with other mediums in it's tier?

Well dunno how well it stacks overall as I am still getting used to it. But I like the fact that the upgraded gun is awesomely fast. And with the stabilizer added it keeps me happy. Still get whacked by the big boys in a toe to toe but if I can stand off or better yet get in close and circle the poor #%&*$#.. I gets me a kill! smile

I'm sorry but I just don't see the appeal... It's very easy to kill from an arty-, TD-, and lowe-perspective...
Still, I got a few friends who seem to love it. I'm just saying that no matter what tank I'm in, I don't find myself backing off when confronted by an Easy 8, not like an "oh #%&*$#!" moment when a Tiger II or IS-3 rounds the corner...

Sorry, not dissing your tank, just playing a little devil's advocate here.

Oh it is not any real terror. I just like it a lot. smile I've always had a warm and fuzzy for Shermans. I am really happy though with it's ROF with the final gun in the research tree. I wish it would hit harder.. It takes 6-8 shots to kill one of the big boys smile

Here's my SU14, slowly gaining exp for my Obj 212. Handles like a school bus, but packs quite a punch. With all my crew on 100% plus one complete skill and another close, and some handy upgrades it can usually bring home a few kills per battle. Takes for-freaking-ever to load though.

This shows what it can do to a Lowe with one shot. A better angle and it would have gone, I'm sure.

He drives a bus!

I've not seen an SU14 in game since the beta (my tanks are not high enough tier). I'm too small for you to waste a shot on anyway! I remember not wanting to shoot at distant low-tier tanks because the profit from killing one would not be worth the cost of the shell.

I picked up my Easy 8 today and got a few upgrades already since I fully researched the earlier tanks. It's not too bad and I won my first two matches so a good start.

Got the top gun in the Wolverine too. Most impressed with that.

My bus just killed 2 (albeit already a bit damaged) tanks with one shot. A Tiger II and another Lowe, aimed smack between them and blam! Up they went. Got quite emotional. Need to go fly CLoD to calm down..

Lol @ Vitesse... not firing at a target because the shell costs more? I guess I'm just too trigger happy...

I am impressed with the Wolverine though. I've not had it, but when I go up against it I always seem to be out-gunned.

High tier arty shells can cost 3k or more, IIRC.

Sorry, no pics on my part, but the E8 is a beautiful machine.

My E8 sits with vents, rammer, and stabilizer and is hell on treads - doubly or triply so if you can buddy up with some other E8s or comparable Mediums.

Played a game on the Steppes like that (me and 2-3 other E8s) and it was like stomping through the preschool playground with hobnailed boots while on a cocaine bender. Other side never had a chance to get their Heavies even halfway to our side before we had scythed through the opposition and was capping their flag. 'Twas a thing of beauty.

I love my Ez8. I have learned to do the Ez8 two-step. Because the gun loads so fast, you fire twice, peak to get them to fire off a round then pop back, then rinse and repeat. The Ez8 is also great for doing the circle of death. Basically isolate a heavy, get in close, then circle and fire. They usually can't rotate fast enough to kill you. Watched a guy with an M5 stuart and 75mm take out two T29 in the same battle doing this. Was pretty funny.

I am bumpkin in game.
