Picked this up yesterday, and it's a hoot. Takes some time getting used to it (lean man, lean!) but loving it so far.

I hadn't seen it about much for the PC (I thought it was just for consoles) so was surprised to see it here for $20. Did it have a US release, as I think this is a UK store? (I'm in Canada and paid in US dollar so it all seems to work)

The 'Legends mode' (Fogarty, Bayliss etc) is my favorite part:

Great video, thanks for the heads up on this, I liked SBK X (2010) and didn't know GreenManGaming carried it, for this cheap of a price ($15.96 using coupon code: 20SUM-MERSA-VINGS) it is worth checking out what the 2011 updates did.

The Legends racing looks cool. There's some stuff changed in the real world 2011 season that makes me want to stick with SBK-X, but I would love to have Silverstone and Vallelunga.

One corker of a mistake I've seen in Silverstone so far is that the background has huge mountains! smile The track looks good though, but Northamptonshire got some Alps..

One thing I've learnt so far is that a joystick is no good for this (I don't have a wheel that works on a PC), and the best controller so far has been my Xbox 360 PC wireless adapter. The right hand stick is good for body positioning on the bike.

Having serious mid-life bike envy though (had a wipeout in my 20's and had to wean off them) so that's a downside.. smile

You guys must have the control ability of an alien, I never got around to using analogue stick for body. What I have (and yes, also on Xbox360 Wireless) is left stick-throttle (and frontbrake), right stick-lean (and rear brake), shoulder buttons up and down rider posture, triggers for gears.

Tell me about bike envy... I bought a brand new Kawasaki Er-6n Naked Bike in early 2010, Streetfighter style. Then I got into MotoGP and SBK (both games and TV) and have since lusted after a race bike. my two track days on the Naked didn't help improve things... as I know I could hang off much better on a Racer.

Still think that the SBK Games are some of the best "race-light" sims around. Tons of bikes, nice career mode, telemetry, dynamic track surface, real time race weekends... everything such a game needs. I especially like how they implemented the engineer and his bike setup multiple choice questionary.

I use a XBOX360 wireless controller too, though I can't seem to control it in the cockpit view since it feels too weird compared to what I see on my real motorcycle a 2001 Honda VFR800, it's been parked in the garage for last 2 years due to limited riding time since my youngest daughter was born, but next summer I think I will be getting back on.

In the meantime SBK X and now SBK 2011 using chase view lets me scratch that riding itch.

DAMN THAT LOOKS GOOD!!!!!! I WANT IT I WANT IT!!!! But alas it'll have to wait...

With Superbike X I also use a Xbox controller because a wheel just feels weird while riding a bike... I use the left thumbstick for steering and rider Posture, the right thumbstick for throttle, the triggers for front and rear brakes, the right bumper for gear up, and the right thumbstick click for gear down...

SBK 2011 finished downloading and I've now had a bit of time with it and I actually have to say they have fixed the cockpit view compared to SBK X, I can now actually use the second cockpit view where the camera simulates where the head is, and it actually works much better now and I can stop using chase view.

Overall from a couple of hours messing around with SBK 2011, I'm liking the improved cockpit view, the physics feel better too on full sim mode except the rear brake is really weak (i.e. can't seem to lock the back wheel), new content with legends bikes there too, good fun for $15-$20.

I'd be curious - if you want to do a video of the cockpit view - what has changed compared to SBKX. While it's not quite the same on the real bike I have no issue with the "gyroscopic" view, though I wouldn't mind if TrackIR was implemented.

Yeah, I noticed the rear brake - I stamp down on that thing sometimes but you're right, it never locks...

I'm still in chase view, but am trying to convert over to the 'head swings' first-person soon as it seems if you get the corner right then it's great.
