Well to be fair, I have no idea how a high performance bike behaves but locking the rear is likely not easy when all the weight goes to the front.

Agreed, those bikes have got some crazy power/weight ratios going on. Delicious.

Hmm, checked with my wife and apparently just because I nearly died 20 years ago still makes her not want me to get another bike. The kids will be fine, we've got insurance - plus it's not me it's all those car drivers.. No sense of adventure! smile

I went ahead and recorded myself in that cockpit view on same settings between SBK 2011 and SBK X:

Watch the 720p mode since I had to squeeze two full screen vids in one shot, I'm not sure that the video really depicts the difference but you can definitely see that I can control the bike more precisely in the SBK 2011 camera.

Thanks Kludger. I guess the main difference is that the virtual head is lower to the windscreen in '11, there is actually a mod out for SBKX which changes the camera to something very similar. I agree that on default it's a bit like the cockpit is swinging around in thin air.

How are you getting on with the FullSim physics btw? I find that without traction control (which these bikes use in reality) I'm constantly highsiding, also I can't brake even the slightest in a turn since the front wheel just goes straight then. Still running mid settings thus because full just doesn't seem real to me. I do however like how full is less forgiving for getting a wheel on grass or gravel, and that it's easier to crash out and miss a weekend.

Interesting observation btw: I was running a championship on the Triumph 675 with my own rider, and I was barely hanging on to the field. Now on exact same settings with Max Biaggi on his Suberbike, I have a quite easy championship with space to spare for pole position. Seems the SuperSport may be a tad harder AI-wise?

To be honest, if I hadn't a bike already, if I bought one today I'd buy a trailer with it. And use the trailer to take it to the track. There is a ton of idiots and risk on the roads.
