Been a while since I've posted anything, just busy time of the year at work and with the kids playing summer sports.

My local airport had the Thunderbirds a few weeks back, even though they charge way too much, you can still enjoy most of the show from outside the fence which I did on Thurs and Fri. Then went back with my kids on Sun in the same spot.

If you have a chance to catch these guys they're awesome. Heavy Metal Jet Team, they're civilians, retired AF and Navy pilots, some civilian as well. Snort flew the Mig 17 and was "bad #%&*$# crazy" low on Fri

Heading to Oceana in a less than 3 weeks, can't wait for that since NAS Brunswick show was a bust. All Military Static canceled coming in and Blues left after Sat's show.

Great shots Dave! The lighting looked good for at least most of the day. I love the C-2 and the Mustang shots, but they're all really good.

Beautiful shots. Love the ones with the Mig.

Yeah, the MiG shots are very good too, and the L-39 shots, and the Thunderbird shots. Very clear, sharp and detailed. I love how much detail you can see on that solo Thunderbird shot.

Nice pictures Top Gun. I saw the Heavy Metal flight team down here in Florida earlier in March this year Top Gun. I think Tico was actually their debut show. Its interesting, I don't remember seeing the mig. I'll have to dig through my pictures. I think Snodgrass flew something else. Awesome stuff.

Looking at my pictures I believe he was flying a black L-39? with red stars. They must have recently added that mig. I just read something just now that states that Snodgrass has aquired an F-5 Tiger II and will have the first airshow F-5 demo!

Thanks Coot on the comments, that's awesome to hear about the F-5 addition. This group also has a T-33, I believe the Mig was added a few weeks before Pease, it's not even on their website.

Enjoy Oceana. I was supposed to be there (already took the vacation time) but life reared its head and my extra cash disappeared. I think this is the 3rd year in a row I have tried to make plans for Oceana and they fell through right before the show.

Nice shots! You must have a really steady hand to keep a jet in frame with a Sigma 500. WOOSH!
