I'm still using an old GTX 275, and just installed the newest 280.36 driver for 64 bit win 7 ( 3d guru site ). I do use v-sync and have frames limited to 60 in menu, and the game is
running incredible on my system, better than it ever had. Don't know if it is the patch or this driver. ( I was using 197.45 driver before ).

197? Wow, you'd not upgraded that in awhile.

Everything is lovely on my end. The only thing I wish they would adjust is smoke from other aircraft.

Usually there are three different trails: two white and one black. Now question is....why are they separate?

I noticed this before the latest patch. No doubt its because the dark smoke is coming from the fire, so is hotter and rises.
With the fast flowing air and prop wash, I doubt it's realistic (without ever having looked for it in real film)... But I'm not too fussed.

Thanks!

Change your "Negative LOD Bias" to "Clamp". It will help get rid of shimmering and the similar.

I've played with that setting before but it didn't really seem to make a difference. I'll try it again since that was a long time ago.....

Thanks for the suggestion.

The white "smoke" is probably steam from the radiator(s)...

I've learned one white trail can be leaking fuel or oil, and naturally that would diverge from smoke. Radiator exhaust, however, shouldn't.

I hope there are some more Allied two seaters flying around now early in the war and that balloons are properly guarded. In short, more like Patrick's Campaign. smile
