That may actually be good news. What better justification for our own defense spending than a China rapidly building a modern military force? smile

I hardly think this is the right time to get in a tizzy about China developing a 'gunship'. That thing is just a Dauphin-clone with a couple of rocket pods - a multi-role helo with attack capability at best. What about their actual dedicated gunship, the CAIC WZ-10?

And for a country with the size and population of China, it'd be weird if they DIDN'T start developing their own military hardware in-house... and a lot of it.

I can only mirror what has already been said, so they stuck some missiles on a Dauphine? Big deal, now they are on par with the German army in the late 70's with their armed BO-105's.
