OK, so I may have to turn in my man card for even posting this, but I just happened across two unfortunate Bruce Boxleitner things over the past couple of days.
A note in it says "Gilbert seeks not to pay spousal support to Boxleitner" so it sounds like he was not a big money-maker compared to her, and the last thing I saw her in was a guest spot his show.
And second, they have these really awful ads for cat food where a groom runs home to get something from his bride's cat, and at the end they say to go on to YouTube to see what happens, and I couldn't help myself but look to see how corny it got (honest!). Lo and behold, Bruce has a very small part in the ad as the bride's father.

Bruce did make a passing comment about his separation from Melissa when I attended his panel at the South Florida Con a couple months ago. As far as whatever his personal financial situation may be, it's all relative of course since I'm pretty sure he's much better off than your average middle class American. However, during the panel at the convention he did mention how utterly grateful he was especially at his age that he got the opporunity to be in Tron Legacy and to be doing voice work for the Tron animated series that will be on Disney FX.

From everything I've seen, he seems like a pretty good guy, and I am in no way trying to imply he's not.
I'm just surprised that Gilbert seems to have that much more money than him, and that he took the tiny role in that ad. I don't think he even appears on the TV version, only on the web version.
It's kind of disappointing, actually, because I've always thought he was pretty good in the shows he's been in, so I was hoping things would be better, I guess.

Yeah, Hollyweird is pretty blatant about casting aside aging actors and actresses. Men seem to have it a little better after 40 but they to seem to just disappear at some point too.

Believe me I know exactly what you're referring to because I had the same reaction when I saw him in several different SyFy Channel B movies. He's done some tv guest star roles on shows like Heroes but he really hasn't done anything long term since Babylon 5.
She's in with the Shadows, she SHOULD pay. Don't read too much into divorce paper wording, you can't get the story from those things. Wish them the best, hate for anyone to have to go through that.
I guess those cheesy Lifetime movies pay more than the cheesy SFC movies.
The Jedi Master
No, it was the Snakehead movie.

I thought he meant that Ms. Gilbert earns more money from the cheesy (homer voice: mmmmm....cheeeeesy) Lifetime movies than Mr. Boxleitner's work in the SFC films, hence, that is why she was paying alimony?
